EXPLORING MANANG​ (Part1) – Heaven’s Gate, Farmhouse and Turquoise Lake

Manang is a district full of natural beauty. It is no different than a piece of heaven. The panoramic views here, the mesmerizing scenery according to the weather really gives the feeling of heaven.
The journey to Manang starts from Besishahar of Lamjung. Some of the settlements in the valleys of Manang where people’s life is very simple. The view of Annapurna, Gangapurna, Lamjung Himal, Tilicho Peak and other mountains from here fascinates everyone.

The weather in Manang, located in the foothills of the Himalayas, is very cold. The sweet sound of the marshy river flowing in Manang has created a kind of musical atmosphere. Manang’s Pratang Farmhouse is a popular place for apple production. According to the operator of this farmhouse, this is the largest apple growing area in Nepal. There are currently 63,000 apple trees here.

You reach Pisang Valley by crossing Dhukku Pond. There is a well-organized market in Upper Pisang and Lower Pisang. Where there are complete facilities for tourists. Manange and Gurungs live in these two valleys.


The beautiful scenery and serene atmosphere have mesmerized every tourist. On top of that, the Manange caste has its own culture. Manang is also called the birthplace of the Gurung caste. Traveling through Pisang Valley, you reach Nawal Village. On the other side of the Masyangdi river, it is a pleasure to travel across the river to Manang. The source of the Marshyangdi river is called Tilicho Lake. But the Masyangdi River flows through Manang.
The famous festival of Manang is Yarthung festival. The festival features various sports ranging from horse racing. The journey from Besishahar of Lamjung to Manang can reach Manang Valley in 3 days.
