First Congress government in Gandaki?

While Chief Minister Prithvi Subba Gurung was seeking a vote of confidence in the Gandaki state assembly, Rajiv Gurung alias Deepak Manange, who was the youth and sports minister in his government, lost contact.

On Wednesday evening, on the eve of the election, he said he was in support of the opposition coalition. MP Manange did not attend the meeting of the state assembly the next day. Even if he had voted, Chief Minister Gurung would not have got the majority.

Only 27 lawmakers from his party, the UML, voted for him, and he is now out of office. Since then, the process of forming a new government has moved forward and the Congress-led opposition has also submitted its demand for a chief minister.

Meanwhile, Press Advisor to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli Surya Thapa called on former Prime Minister and Janata Samajwadi Party Federal Council President Dr. Baburam Bhattarai and MP Manange have shared a picture of themselves together.
