Gagan Thapa is a young and energetic Nepali politician of the country. He was born on July 16, 1976. He was married with Dr. Anjana K.C. Thapa in 2008. He has two children named Gargi Thapa and Gia Thapa. His father name is Mahendra Kumar Thapa and mother is Rameshwari Thapa. He holds the post of Minister of health and population of Nepal from the date of 2016 to 2017. He is currently in Parliamentary Committee on Education and Health.
He serves as a member of Parliamentary in the House of Representatives, from kathmandu, Nepal since 2008. He is from the Nepali Congress party ands he is a central Committee Member of the party. He was born and raised in Capital city Kathmandu. He was graduated from Siddhartha Vanasthali School in 1992. He finished his Bachelors of science in Chemistry from tri Chandra College in 1998. After then, he completed his master degree in Sociology from the arts faculty. He had completed his master from Tribhuvan university in 2003. He was enrolled his politics from his young age. He was involved in student politics during pro-democracy period. He became the General Secretary of the Nepal Students Union from 2002 to 2004. He was declared as a prisoner of Conscience in 2005 by Amnesty International.
He became a member of the First Constitution Assembly. He also became a central committee member of Nepal Congress Party in 2010. He again became the member of the Second Constitution assembly in 2013 where he learned from the failure of the first assembly. For the second time he won in 2017 from the same constituency. He is a young, energetic and a popular young Global Leader of the World Economic Form. He is widely renowned for his oratory and eloquence.
