Grand welcome of Modi in Lumbini

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is coming to Lumbini on Monday morning. At the invitation of Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, Modi is set to pay an official visit to Lumbini, the birthplace of Gautam Buddha.

Modi will attend a special Buddha Jayanti function in Lumbini. According to government officials, Modi will arrive in Lumbini between 10:30 am and 11 am. Modi will arrive at Kushinagar Airport in Uttar Pradesh by ship and from there to Lumbini by helicopter.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Modi will attend a special pooja at the Mayadevi temple from 11 a.m. on his arrival in Lumbini. He will then participate in the groundbreaking ceremony of the Buddhist Cultural Center.

At 2 pm, Indian Prime Minister Modi and his counterpart Deuba will jointly address a special function at the International Buddha Meditation Center and Assembly Hall. After that, Foreign Minister Narayan Khadka will pay a courtesy call on Indian Prime Minister Modi.

After that, Prime Minister Deuba and Modi will hold bilateral talks at Hotar Pawan Palace in Lumbini. After that, in the presence of the two Prime Ministers, a Memorandum of Understanding will be signed to establish India Chair at Lumbini Buddhist University.

Prime Minister Deuba will give lunch to Modi. After visiting Lumbini, Prime Minister Modi will return to New Delhi at 5.30 pm.

Prime Minister Deuba and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi are scheduled to meet in Lumbini on Monday afternoon. Deuba and Modi are scheduled to meet after 44 days.

On March 3, Deuba and Modi held a bilateral meeting at the Hyderabad House in New Delhi, first at the individual level and then at the delegation level. A month and a half later, Deuba and Modi are scheduled to meet again with a luncheon.
