Kathmandu will not be active for another week

There are only a few days left till the end of the ban imposed in the Kathmandu Valley for epidemic control. As the period draws to a close, the Valley’s chief district officers are engaged in discussions again. The injunction expires after May 12. But it is understood that the CDOs are still planned to be extended.


Kathmandu Chief District Officer Kali Prasad Parajuli has confirmed that discussions are underway between the Chief District Officers of the three districts (Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur). said that additional injunctions will be issued for chain break of the epidemic and some services will be relaxed by adopting health standards. Parajuli said he has been started for looking on that.


According to him, a decision will be taken after considering the situation. However, he indicated that the ban would be extended as the infection was not yet normal. Since the onset of the second wave of the Corona epidemic, the injunction has been extended several times from April 3 to mid-June.
