On Sunday, the third day of the ban in Chitwan. There is more traffic on the road today than yesterday. Despite the heavy presence of security personnel on the road yesterday, security personnel are less mobilized on the road today. A curfew has been imposed in Chitwan from midnight on April 29 at high risk of corona infection. It is raining with thunder in most parts of Chitwan including Bharatpur and other palce too.
A ban has been imposed in Chitwan to minimize corona infection. Police have urged the public not to go out except for urgent work and to fully comply with the health safety standards issued by the government. Police have warned that action will be taken as per the Infectious Diseases Act 2020 if found violating the ban.
Two thousand 582 people and 841 vehicles were taken into custody for violating the ban on Saturday. Information Officer at the District Police Office, Chitwan, Deputy Superintendent of Police Saroj Giri said that the same number of actions were taken on Saturday.
Giri said that action was taken by the District Police Office and its subordinate police units. Starting that a fine of Rs. 72,900 was recovered from the action, Giri informed that 50 masks were also distributed on the occasion.
