Nepal Oil Corporation has again increased the price of petroleum products. A meeting of the corporation’s board of directors held on Tuesday has increased the price of petroleum products with effect from 12 noon tonight.
The corporation has increased the price of petrol, diesel and kerosene by Rs 5 per liter with effect from 12 noon tonight. At the same time, the price of petrol has gone up to Rs 160 per liter and diesel and kerosene to Rs 143 per liter.
Along with this, the new retail selling price of petrol and diesel-kerosene has been fixed at Rs. 160 and Rs. Similarly, aviation fuel (internal) has been increased by Rs 5 to Rs 156 per liter.
Similarly, aviation fuel (international) increased by US ५० 50 to US १ 1,545 per kiloliter.
The corporation says that the price has gone up due to the rise in prices in the international market.
The corporation, meanwhile, is preparing to create an automated pricing system, saying it will incur huge losses. During the discussion held at the Ministry of Finance on Tuesday, the issue of automatic pricing was discussed. Now, the board of directors has decided to make it automatic within a month. This will further increase the price of fuel.
