PM challenge to Maoists: ‘We don’t need your support, take it back if you dare’

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has again challenged the Maoist center. He warned the Maoist center to withdraw its support to the government. The Maoist center has been demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Oli. But Oli has reiterated that he will not resign as he has a majority in parliament. He has challenged to withdraw the support given to him if he has the courage.

Prime minister said, “I have a majority. Why should I resign? If you want to be removed from the majority, withdraw. I don’t need your support.” Oli has repeatedly warned the Maoist center to withdraw its support. He had earlier said that the Maoists would withdraw their support and resign immediately. However, they have become more irritated after the Maoists, Nepali Congress and other parties started discussions for a new balance of power.

He warned the Maoists to withdraw their support saying that they had shown double standards. Stating that he could not do anything to withdraw his support but demanded Prachanda resignation, Oli said that he did not want the support of the Maoists.

Saying that the Congress and JSP were begging without withdrawing their support, Oli said that the UML Madhav Nepal faction was also supporting Prachanda. “I’m not afraid of such arrogance,” Oli said.
