Preparations for debate on Paul’s case on December 12, Susmita’s case may be dismissed, says senior advocate Karki

As Paul Sah’s case moves one date after another, his supporters are saddened by what will happen.  People are going to the prison every day to understand Sah’s condition.  After participating in a beauty pageant in 2014, a Regmi invited her to a hotel after eight years and said that she had been sexually abused for eight years by mixing some drinks.

Although the time limit for rape is one year under Nepali law, the accused was charged with trafficking and abduction of a girl, hostage-taking.  According to Senior Advocate Born Bahadur Karki: Although the rape case was not registered, he was released by the police after excessive comments on social media.  According to Karki, the incident took place a long time ago and the case could be dismissed as the deadline for filing the case has expired.

While giving bail in the district court Tanahu at 2 pm on Sunday, she said that the details given in the complaint were not true.  He said that he would remain in jail till he was acquitted by both the courts. He said that after taking statements from both of them, the court would pronounce its verdict, Tanahu would take final statement and Nawalparasi would take final statement.  Bhurna Bahadur has said that out of the sentences given by the two courts, the one who gives more sentence will get the same punishment.

In the petition, the victim has declared that the incident took place in Pokhara on 2077-09-10 and in Tanahu on 2078-01-14 and there is a legal provision to lodge a complaint within one year of the incident.  Paul Sah, the protagonist who was sent to jail for trial on the basis of the petition filed by the minor singer alleging rape, has directed the Pokhara High Court against the order issued by the district court against Tanahu.  Bishnu Prasad Adhikari, Information Officer of the Pokhara High Court, informed that a petition has been filed in the High Court seeking the same.

After Paul Sah filed a case in Tanahu on March 26 alleging that he had repeatedly raped her, Sah went to the police station on March 3 on the basis of a complaint.  A bench of Justice Harris Chandra Dhungana on Thursday remanded Paul Sah in custody for trial while his manager Krishna Joshi, who was allegedly involved in the rape, was released on Rs 1 lakh bail.

Paul will now be held in solitary confinement and will be jailed if convicted by both courts.  Paul Sah is facing similar charges in two places, and if convicted, he will be sentenced by the same court, the lawmaker said.  After Paul Sah went to the shooting of the Chitwan music video and, 1-2 months after returning from there, he called and said that he had heard a lot of rumors about us.  Sah said that after being repeatedly given a toucher to get married and, after being pressured by the media to identify himself as his wife, he told her to do whatever he wants.
