Newly appointed Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba is scheduled to take oath of office and secrecy at 6 pm today. President Vidyadevi Bhandari had today appointed Deuba as the Prime Minister in accordance with Article 76 (5) of the Constitution.
Deuba has been appointed the Prime Minister in accordance with Article 76, Sub-Article 5 of the Constitution. Chief Personal Secretary to the President Bhesharaj Adhikari confirmed the appointment of Deuba as the Prime Minister and said that the swearing-in ceremony would be held at 6 pm.
The Supreme Court on Monday ordered Deuba to be appointed prime minister in the name of the president’s office. The Supreme Court has ordered to dissolve the House of Representatives and appoint Deuba as the Prime Minister by 5 pm on Tuesday.
As soon as Deuba is appointed as the Prime Minister, the President’s Office is preparing for the swearing in. Deuba is taking oath as the Prime Minister at 6 o’clock. The Maoist-led Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Upendra Yadav faction is participating in the Deuba-led government.
