The idol of Ram-Sita was sent to Chitwan after worshiping at Baluwatar

The idols of Lord Rama and Sita to be kept at Madi Ayodhyapuri in Chitwan have been sent to the Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and Radhika Shakya worshiped the idols before taking them to Chitwan.


The idols of Lord Rama and Sita have been sent to Madi Ayodhyapuri of Chitwan along with the Rath Yatra. The procession will reach Chitwan by evening. In a program organized in Baluwatar, Prime Minister Oli worshiped the idols of Ram and Sita and sent them to Ayodhyapuri in Chitwan.


Prime Minister Oli had earlier announced to place the idol Ram-Sita in Ayodhyapuri on the day of Ram Navami. The Kaligarhs of Bhaktapur have made idols of Rama, Sita, Laxman and Hanuman. The statue had been kept in the courtyard of the Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar for some time.

Saints and priests were also present in the program organized in Baluwatar on Tuesday. Speaking on the occasion of Bhanu Jayanti, Prime Minister Oli said that Ayodhyapuri of Chitwan was the birthplace of Lord Rama and that Ayodhyapuri would be developed as a religious place.
