This is the five star ‘Kavya’ resort with an investment of 3 billion

The five-star resort ‘Kavya’ in Nagarkot will be officially operational from Sunday. It is said that three billion rupees have been spent on the construction of this resort which is going to be operated under the name of Kavya Resort and Spa. Nepal Investment Bank Chairman Prithvi Bahadur Pandey, Vishal Group and Diwakar Golcha Corp have invested in the resort.

This resort has been launched targeting domestic and foreign guests with high spending power. The soft opening of the resort, which will be officially launched on the first day of the new financial year, has already been held on June 24. Vikram Singh, CEO of Chhaya Management, said that the service to the guests arriving at the resort has already started.

He informed that the minimum charge for one night two days stay in this super luxurious resort which has 20 villas of different levels is 50 thousand rupees. This resort is aimed at both high-end Nepali and foreign tourists. Its design is new in Nepal,” he said. “Guests who come to Nagarkot and enter here can get a very high-class hospitality experience.”

The plan was to bring in a foreign chain to manage the resort, which started construction in 2071. Due to the impact of the earthquake, blockade and the covid-19 pandemic, there was no progress in the efforts to bring in foreign hotel-restaurant chains. The process of giving its management to Leaf Hospitality under the world-renowned hotel group Hilton was also advanced. But as it was not successful, it has now been converted into Kavya Resort and Spa and brought into operation, he said.

Currently this resort is managed by Chaya Group of Thamel. This grand resort is spread over an area of 175 ropani. It includes yoga area separately. During the expansion of the resort in the second phase, the plan is to build various infrastructures including spa. Currently, it is said that preparations are being made for the construction of the second phase.

One of the most attractive aspects of this resort is its design. From the outside, the interior design of this resort, which is a new style in Nepal, is equally premium. The architectural design company ‘Map’ (Mathema & Partners) headquartered in Washington, USA has designed this resort. Map also has an office in Nepal in Lalitpur.

The rooms of the resort are divided into three categories including Junior Suite, One Bedroom Villa, Deluxe Villa, Two Bedroom Villa. The resort has deployed three manpower in each villa to provide excellent hospitality.

The Junior Suite has two bedrooms with a built-up area of 2,504 square feet. The room with a balcony has a panoramic view. Likewise, the one bed room villa with an area of 1545 square feet has a large living room. From the room, guests can easily view the snow range.
