Bam Dev Gautam is a Nepalese politician and the former Home Minister and Deputy Prime Minister of Nepal. He is a Vice Chairman And Secrtariat Member of Nepal Communist Party. He is currently member of National Assembly nominated by President. CPN-UML Vice Chairman Bhim Bahadur Rawal resigned from the House of Representatives on Sunday. He announced his resignation after his efforts to maintain party unity were unsuccessful. Initially announcing his resignation on social media, he reached the Federal Parliament building on Sunday and handed over his resignation letter to Speaker.

CPN-UML Vice Chairman Bhim Rawal has resigned from the post of Member of the House of Representatives. He announced his resignation on Sunday afternoon amid controversy over whether to give a vote of confidence to Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba. Rawal, who was directly elected to the House of Representatives from Achham in 2074 BS, has resigned saying that he will not participate in immoral political games.

Speaking to reporters, Rawal said that he had tried to stop the work being done against the interest of the country. The leaders are interested in personal interests. ‘

“I have distanced myself from the House of Representatives rather than playing a dirty game in the current anti-people politics in the country,” he said. “Politics and all its mechanisms should have worked in the interest of the country and the people, but the political leadership pushed the country into uncertainty.”

He did not name any leader. However, he indicated that he had resigned due to the stubbornness of party president KP Sharma Oli and senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal.
