UML MP wrestles with dignitaries in the House

The distance between Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba and UCPN (Maoist) Central Committee Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda has widened with the plan to maintain the alliance till the next election. The US-sponsored Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) has widened the gap between the two leaders. Prachanda is in favor of not taking MCC assistance while Deuba is in favor of getting it passed by the parliament.

Therefore, the distance between these two main leaders is estimated to have increased. Leaders in a hurry are getting closer. Some leaders have tried to take advantage of the MCC by making it a political tool. It has also been made the subject of strategic maneuvering.

The MCC dispute has shaken the ruling coalition. Chairman of the CPN-Maoist Center Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda has been saying that the MCC will not be passed under any circumstances. He has said the same in public programs. It is clear that he is in the strategy of not allowing the MCC to pass under any circumstances.

Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has strongly supported the MCC. He also asked his party leaders not to speak against the MCC. The distance between Deuba and Prachanda is widening due to this issue. This has shaken the alliance.
