A meeting of the UMLs general convention organizing committee held by Oli in Baluwatar on April 26 was expected to take action against senior leader Madhav Nepal, vice-chairman Bhim Rawal, deputy general secretary Ghanshyam Bhusal and standing committee member Surendra Pandey. But the leaders now know the secret that they did not take immediate action to get a vote of confidence.
After CPN-UML Chairman and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli understood the strategy of using his vote to save the government but throwing himself like a tea fly, UML’s Madhav Nepal Jhala Nath Khanal’s group has also come up with a new strategy. Do it in front of them or I and who is in the situation. Prime Minister Oli is scheduled to take a vote of confidence from the parliament on April 10.
For that, the vote of Madhav Nepal group is also needed. Flow is not likely to cross. Therefore, the Madhav Jhalanath group is engaged in mutual discussions to formulate a strategy on what to do next.In the discussion, two votes have come from within their group. Some leaders have expressed support for Oli in a vote of confidence, while others have called for him to resign.
“We are in favor of running the party as per the constitution passed by the ninth general convention and maintaining party unity. We should support the prime minister,” said a leader who supports Oli.
Opinions have also been raised in the discussion that Oli should not be allowed to go ahead alone by violating the constitution and on the other hand should not support Oli, who is suppressing internal dissent within the party with right-wing and external forces.
After Oli’s strategy of becoming a strong prime minister by using his votes but sidelining himself, the Madhav Jhalanath faction is likely to reach the conclusion that his group of lawmakers will resign before April 10.
