Write it down, Prachanda will be killed by his own fighters Balen shah has my full support balkrishna neupane

Balen Shah, a rapper running for Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC), was given a ‘lauro’ stick as an electoral emblem for the May 13 local elections. All these years have taught us about political squabbling, unity and division, coalition culture, political instability, and electoral alliance.

There are neither permanent allies nor permanent foes in Nepali politics. Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda,” the Maoist supremo, is well aware of this. As a result, he has insisted on keeping the ruling coalition together until the general elections, citing election arithmetic that shows his party would win both local and national elections.

If Prachanda’s and Madhav Kumar Nepal’s comments are to be believed, they seek to keep the existing government coalition with the Nepali Congress (NC) and the Janata Samajwadi Party in place until the next general election, in order to unite their political forces under a single party, the CPN-UML.

The election for the mayorship of Kathmandu has gotten a lot of attention this time. It has become more noteworthy due to the candidacy of prominent rapper Balen Shah, who announced his candidacy for mayor of the capital city in December 2021. And believe me, with the election only eight days away, it appears that even the main political parties’ candidates fear Balen and regard him as a threat.
